Flyleaf....I just love Lacey's voice...and this song and video.
*This is actually a song about God...not a boyfriend. Lacey and the band are very "Christian" like. This song is about Lacey's suicide attempt in the past and how God apparently "Saved her". Regardless, I really like lacey's voice and style...she and the band are very talented. She has got that special voice, the kind I just love...and a vulnerability about her. The band and guitarist are very very good also. I think I might actually purchase one of Flyleafs CD's when I can budget it in down the road.

This is a nice song and deliverance. I've never heard of this group or the singer but talent is astounding.

Devika,
Very happy to see you comment here again! Glad you are still around. I hope you keep dropping by. I've missed you.
I was reading a few of your most recent post on your blog "The Essential Me" and I wrote down part of some writing that Pablo Neruda wrote...that you posted in your blog. It's a small paragraph quote you had written in this post. I was wondering if you would allow me to post what he wrote in my next post? His words were so profound to me and I connected to it so much! "There is no unassailable solitude" etc..etc..
Since you don't allow comments in your blogs writing in here and asking you was the only way I could..so hope you see this..
Let me know if you read this comment..
Thank you and Blessings to you Devika.
Rhi
Hi Rhi,
Thank you so much for your response here...
I am not too clear as to what you wish from me..."I was wondering if you would allow me to post what he wrote in my next post?"
It's from Neruda's acceptance speech that I read in a magazine...I have written only a few lines, that clicked me at the time...
This is another that I have noted down
"I come from a dark province, from a country separated from others by a severe geography. I was the most abandoned of poets, and my poetry was regional, sorrowful, steeped in rain. But I always had confidence in man. I never lost hope. That may be why I am here with my poetry, and with my flag."
I guess its all fine to use his words in our blogs with due attribution to him, Rhi...so many use them,
but still, I am not clear if you were asking that,
Hope to clarify,
and will be back, Rhi

Yes, that is what I was wanting. In your post about him, you have a small paragraph of something he said and I really liked what he said..and I just wanted to ask if it would be okay with you to write his words in my next post. I will definitely say it was something that he wrote..
Thank you Devika..
Blessings,
Rhi
Okay Rhi and last night I was listening to the songs here...loved them,
God Bless,
devika
I like her voice, Rhi, but I really can't stand to watch her writhe in that chair. This is a bit too tormented for my taste (I don't like "new" Christian music in general)!
