Earth Angel story...

I've posted this Artwork of mine (above post) before, not sure why but I felt like posting it again for the New Year. I like the fact that after scanning this drawing I can tint it to just about any color I want on photo express. I sold it to 3 people and asked each of them if they wanted it a different tint color, so they each requested different color prints so that was easy!

I will share a little story, of a "one minute" encounter with a man at a store the other day who walked right up to me looked into my eyes and said "you have a beautiful face, like an angel"...so sweet...and so brave of him to have the courage to say that to a total stranger with all those people around!..I kind of blushed...then he walked away....never to be seen again. People who witnessed it in the store were smiling, especially the ladies. A woman standing next to me whispered in my ear "I saw him standing a distance away looking at you and then he just came right over to you how brave and romantic of him, I've never seen anything like it before"! She was stunned also! How did he know thats just what I needed to hear to start my New Years off right?! Another "Earth angel" indeed! I always have felt that my guardian angel was a "he"...Maybe it was him? Who knows? It was very strange. Oh well story of my life!

No men around here ever talk like that let alone have the courage to speak their mind or feelings. I said thank you to him when he said what he did and he replied "no need to thank me, I just spoke the truth"...so sweet so special!...he was a nice looking man too. He had kind of longish dark hair, handsome, he looked a lot like a Renaissance type man. Was he real? lol. As I walked to my car in the parking lot, got in it, turned the radio on and the song "Your Beautiful" by James Blunt came on, I couldn't believe it! It almost fit to what had just happened! Plus one of my favorites songs! How eerie is that? I'm going to post the lyrics to that song very soon on here. Wherever this man may be, thank you for you gave me hope for "man" and "mankind"!...still some brave romantics around! I didn't think they existed anymore! I thought my ex husband was the last one left!..ha ha. Maybe thats what made me think of this "Romantic Angels" drawing...anyway enough of this chatter but what a way to start off the New Year....

Well now Carolyn don't think thats such a good idea for around here where I live..and being single you got to be very careful. I'm not that trusting with total strangers or new people, for many good reasons. Experience is teaching me slowly but surely. I was stalked over a year ago by a man online, from a "professional" dating service and he was on the other side of the country! Somehow he found out my home address just from having my ph.# even though it was unlisted! It was a scary experience. He kept calling me, leaving messages, sending flowers once a week to my house, very obessive, for over 6 months! When he knew I wasn't interested and had said "no" and "stop"! So I'm careful about who I would give my ph.# too I hate to say. I always wonder why guys just give out their ph.#'s (and women give them out to guys very easy also!)to total strangers, so freely to anyone, expecting the woman to call "him"? and not ever the other way around? It would be so cool to hear a man say "I really would like to talk with you more may I ask for your ph.#?". Whether e-mail or in person, it might give me second pause to maybe give it to him, maybe he's being a "brave" considerate gentlemen, or at least maybe? I know times have changed alot and you have to grow and take risk and chances sometimes but trusting with things like that for me hasn't been a good experience. I have taken some chances and risk, so well we will see. I just would like to see more men be a bit more brave instead of just saying "here's my ph.# call me"..duh?

Dreaming_firefly, I hope it does also..I really would like to meet a nice man who can articulate, know how to flirt a bit, have some courage, be respectful and knows how to treat a woman!..and yes even take a few risk!..he he..am I dreaming?...well, I am a "Dreamweaver" after all..:-)
