Being human, being unique, trouble is part and parcel of long, life learning too discovery ourselves while we discovery our surroundings.

Life is change, both subtle and significant.

Ah, Joni Mitchell, one of my very favorites since I was a young teen. I'm pretty sure I know all the words to Court 'n Spark album.
I did prefer some of the more upbeat ones and Troubled Child probably reminded me of my mother and her mental health problems, and also my own challenge to keep my head above water and not drown in my sorrows or depressions or insanities ... not always very easy. I used to write there was "strength in weakness" and by that I meant, it takes a lot of strength to allow oneself to "let go" and not follow along with the crowd of sheep ... to be ourselves, even if it gives others kindling for the flames that cause us pain. We cause ourselves the most pain in our reactions to many things. But who am I to say? Each day can seem so different. Tonight I cried because my T-bird is turning 90,000 miles. Afterall, she is going on 15 yrs old! But it reminded me of things or people "getting old" like when our dog had to die, or when older people have always said, "It's hell to get old, don't ever get old!" and I'd reply, "What's the alternative?" So I send a highest and best blessing out that we can grow old, knowing we aren't really "middle aged" but also knowing we're not "old" ... and we all have that "troubled child" within us that we need to parent ourselves into those happy childhoods we still yearn for. I know I had SOME happy childhood memories, but it's the shadowy ones that break through when I'm being gloomy. Oh, how I wish I could sit across from you with a cup of herbal tea or a glass of good wine and toast to "going with the flow" and that the "flow" is so very good.
Love to you,
SisSTAR Kylita xoxo
p.s. there is a special photo I experimented with of the only Peace Rose that bloomed for me this yr on my blog...it's for friends like you that I wanted to share it. It smelled heavenly.

Love it I didn't like alot of female vocalists but Joni always had my heart.. She lived near George's parents and family in Malibu..
Jesus told his diciples 3 things:
They would be entirely fearless...
Absurdly Happy...
And always in TROUBLE... This is true..giggle

Court and Spark is my favorite Joni Mitchell album (unless I've just listened to Hejira, in which case, it's my favorite Joni Mitchell album)--and this one has always had particular meaning for someone who was forced into intensive therapy for much of my youth: "they open and close you and they talk like they know you, they don't know you, they're friends and they're foes, too...."

Hmmm...I'm gonna have to go listen to the whole album, now.....
