Leaf of many colors...

I seem to be turning over a new leaf...
there are many dimensions to a leaf
and its colors change through the seasons
just like me...
They fall to the ground
and new leaves bud and grow
to replace the old with the new...

Trees of the ages have wisdom
through deep roots
and deep growth...
I wish I could be a leaf or a tree...
the old leaves falling to the ground
and the new ones budding and growing
replacing the old ones....

And the tree continues in its eternal wisdom...
I'm not there yet....
I doubt if I ever will be...

Rhiannon.....

*Believe it or not this is a real leaf I picked up off the ground today and scanned then added a bit more light.

And the leaf goes back to the earth and adds to the new life cycle in the spring of the year. The leaf really is one of the most amazing tools of the earth, the way that it feeds the greater part of the life form. So many beautiful shapes, colours and textures too.
There is actually a very funny commercial on tv about the leaf, not sure if it shows in the US but I think it's for KFC: It shows two scenes where people are casually walking along and a leaf falls in front of them and they scream at the sight of summer's end. That is so me:)
It sort of goes like this" ...And the summer became the fall, I was not ready for the winter..." I go through this every year at this time, if you know what I mean. Tim W.

Peg, thank you for such kind words. I think many are gifted on here on these blogs. Maybe thats why we are all on here and commenting to one another? Maybe we all have the "Artistic eye" its just expressed in different ways?..whatever those ways may be....

Thanks for dropping by Storm. I read what you said about how you are a "storm" and why. When I read it I related, I even wrote something about being part of "the storm within me" few years back and why. Maybe I might post those thoughts one day soon..but reading what you said reminded me...I think I called it "The passion of the storm" which is me. I'm sure you can relate. Yes I love trees too and weeping willows do weep for wars of hell and children in poverty and the state of the world. But they are beautiful trees, shades of "comfort"..

Keep the "Storm going"..
Blessings,
Rhiannon

Well thanks to you and Jip Bridg I finally did it!..Never thought I'd figure it out especially when the index when way way below..but got it back to top by clicking "cancel" and republishing.

Thanks again I'll keep thinking good thoughts about that job being "officially signed" on the dotted line soon! I know waiting when you have no control over things and what will happen and the "unknown" can drive you up a wall!..>can speak from experience.

Angel Blessings,
Rhi

Hi Rhi, Yes you will be there. We are all on the way. And like the tree, our feet are rooted in this earth, but we reach for the sky. Leaves are the sensors of what is to come. I love your work.
